Mr. Cool
We moved! Good-bye Knoxville, hello Winchester. Don, Carter, Tigger and I moved out on the 9th to a new home in middle TN. It took a whole week to pack and clean everything! Things go very slowly when you are working with an infant. We finished though and with Tigger meowing away in his new pet taxi strapped in the front seat, and Carter asleep we took off. We made the little over 3 hr journey safely without any stops and minimal anxiety displayed by Tigger. This will bring us closer to Dons work, which means he will be home everyday! What a nice change that is! We are closer to my parents and brother, which means more grammy/grandpa and cousin time. We miss all our friends in Knoxville though, and hope we continue to stay updated and in touch. So far we are enjoying our new place. It is a little duplex that feels just like we bought a home. It has a new cute design and we really like it. It sits out by the lake and very quiet. There are no homes built yet out front so we have a nice view of a pasture then the lake. I just sit and feed Carter on the couch looking out over a field at the ducks landing in the water. Blissful! We have a roomy, private driveway so we don't have to worry about other people banging our cars up...even more...that is. AND better yet, it is $100.00 cheaper in rent than our place in Knoxville. Score!
Time for a little nap between packing...
Wow, Carter is already 2 months old! He is growing fast and already fitting into the 3 and 3-6 month outfits. At the beginning of the month Carter had his baby blessing at church. It was lovely and we were excited for all the family that came into town. We had a fun time with everyone! I am pretty sure Carter had some stress though, from all the excitement. He has never really fussed before and he had some intense crying fits everyday that family was in town, and stopped the day after everyone left, and has not done any since. Funny boy. He'll get use to the crowd though, he has a lot of family to enjoy!Ben, Heather and Alli were in town and came to visit for a little yesterday and we were able to capture some pictures with them side by side. It was funny, Alli kept trying to touch Carter - she seemed very fascinated by her blond cousin. He seemed pretty indifferent. Enjoy the photos!
Almost forgot to post these! My talented friend Terra had crochet this adorable sweater and hat for Carter. He wore it to church and got a lot of wonderful feedback on how awesome it was! Good job Terra, he looked pretty darn cute in it! Sorry for the pics though...he was not being very cooperative. :D
